Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify a causal relationship among attitudes toward agriculture, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy of pre-service elementary school teachers. The data were collected by visiting. A total of 387 copies of questionnaires were used for data analysis after data cleaning. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. To estimate parameters of proposed research model, structural equation modeling analysis was used. All data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 15.0 statistics packages and AMOS 5.0 version. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the fit index of structural equation model among attitudes toward agriculture, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy of pre-service elementary school teachers were identified suitably. Second, experiences related to plant and agricultural literacy had a significantly positive direct effect on attitudes toward agriculture of pre-service elementary school teachers. Third, experiences related to plant of pre-service elementary teachers had a significantly indirect effect on attitudes toward agriculture through agricultural literacy.
