This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the light intensity on plant height, chlorophyll content, leaf thickness, and volatile compound of pot Mentha suaveolens. When Mentha suaveolens was cultured with 5,000 Lux condition, plant height increased remarkable compared with others. But plants height increased slowly with lower light intensity or > 10,000 Lux. The chlorophyll meter(SPAD) and thickness of leaf increased remarkable with 10,000 Lux condition than others. Total 26 volatile compounds were identified, and most of compounds were showed high level with 10,000 Lux.
