| Abstract |
|
This study was performed to establish the basis of the development of urban agricultural experience programs that will be applied to urban park. A survey was conducted and analyzed to find out how, when, and why the general users visit urban park and what the general users of park prefer and want from programs related to urban agriculture activities. The analysis showed statistically significant that users mostly visited urban park to rest with family or relatives in autumn afternoon hours. In urban agricultural activities which they want to be introduced to the urban park, the result showed that users wanted ‘vegetable harvest’ the most highly significant; on the other hand, the demand of ‘using of chemical fertilizer’ was low. In the preference survey to the type of urban agricultural activities, users preferred emotional experience than relationship experience, which was significantly high. Users demanded an interesting program significantly higher than soothing program as the emotional experience. And users demanded to improve an observation and attention of plants significantly higher than to acquire professional knowledge and skills as the cognitive experience. To be considered for the development of urban agricultural experience program, were significantly high that children under 13 years of age, programs for families, the spring season, weekend, and afternoon hours. In addition, the analysis showed significantly high that users needed experts as the program administrator and expect emotional and educational effects through urban agriculture programs. |
