Abstract
The change of components characteristic in planting can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the ratio of change of the evergreen tall trees, evergreen shrubs, and herbaceous ornamentals showed an upward tendency from SMT as the maintenance type was closer to PMT. Secondly, deciduous tall trees showed an downward tendency as the maintenance type was closer to SMT. Thirdly, deciduous tall trees showed an downward tendency in the change rate across all the types. Fourthly, herbaceous ornamentals showed the highest change rate, and the rate increased as the garden maintenance type was closer to PMT. Fifthly, no meaningful characteristics was found in lawn. The change of components characteristic in Facilities can be summarized as follows. Firstly, with all the items used for investigation, only PMT showed 100% of increase rate. This was interpreted as the garden owner’s interest increases as the garden maintenance type was closer to PMT. Secondly, the increase rate in the structures and ornaments was 12.8% for SMT, 66.0% for HMT, 187.1% for PMT. Thirdly, items related to paving, stairs, and waters showed no change at all in SMT. Thus, the above-mentioned results can be summarized as follows. (1)Changes occurred in the gardens irrelevant to the maintenance type. (2)The change rate increaseed as the garden maintenance type is closer to PMT. (3) The herbaceous ornamentals showed the highest rate in plantings change rate. (4)The structures and ornaments showed the highest rate in the facilities change rate. Thus, we should take advantage of MRC(mean ratio of change) whenever we plan home garden. In other words, if we add to deciduous as for planting and if we consider as for structure and ornamental in the plan number-one, we can estimate that it may be able to expect economic effect. If we apply these points at the design stage, we can save the unnecessary redundant expenses that occur inevitably due to the change of the garden.
