Abstract |
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of pre-treatments on the maintenance of freshness of cut chrysanthemum during export distribution. Spray treatments of 1-MCP 0.05 g/m³ and GA₄₊₇+BA 100 mg/L delayed flowering of ‘Baekma’ compared with the control, and flowering of ‘Baegseon’ was also delayed by BA 25 mg/L treatment. The degree of flower opening in both cultivars was delayed by treatment of 1-MCP 0.05 g/m³ and GA₄₊₇+BA 100 mg/L. Flower coloration of ‘Baekma’, was delayed by 1-MCP 0.05 g/m³ and GA₄₊₇+BA 100 mg/L treatment, and ‘Baegseon’ by BA 25 mg/L treatment. |
