Abstract
The purpose of this research is to suggest appropriate directions for the improvement of ecotourism service quality through the investigation of the tourists’ satisfaction classified by types of visiting motivations in case of Gwangju Lake Eco-garden. For this purpose it focuses on the comparative analysis of the difference between importance and performance that tourists evaluate on the ecotourism destination’s attractiveness of Gwangju Lake Eco-garden by types of visiting motivations. The results may be summarized as follows. Attributes concerning the ecological value of natural environment, observational facilities and amenities need to keep up the good work as the representative ecotourism destination’s attractiveness. On the other hand, various experiential programs of natural ecosystem, learning programs for kids, sufficient interpretative boards and staff’s speciality were confirmed to be required to improve with the concentrated complement for the enhance of ecotourism service quality. And attributes concerning the infrastructure for eco-experience and interpretative guide must be sublated to input overkill because of extremely high performance compared with low importance.
