Abstract
The study examined the visitor satisfaction according to the components of the roof garden by using visitor survey on the visiting motivation, facilities, plant management, function and environment, circulation and accessibility. The satisfaction evaluation was conducted with 304 visitors who visited 18 roof gardens supported by Seoul City. The survey results showed that the visiting motivation did not play a key role in total satisfaction, which had little significant effect (β=0.236) according to the simple regression analysis, in contrast with the result of facilities (β=0.609), plant management (β=0.623), function and environment (β=0.595), and circulation and accessibility (β=0.679) that were highly significant components in the total satisfaction. Based on the analysis result that circulation and accessibility (β=0.679) had the most significant effects on the satisfaction compared to other components, accessibility was considered the most effective component on the visit and the satisfaction factors of the roof garden. According to the results of multiple regression analysis of the effects of the satisfaction components on the total satisfaction of the roof garden, the priority order was as follows: circulation and accessibility (β=0.348), facilities (β=0.178), function and environment (β=0.173), and plant management (β=0.153).
